In 2019, Canvas Cannabis came to life with the flagship cannabis store on Danforth Avenue in Toronto’s Greektown neighbourhood and since then continues to grow across the city. As an independent female owner in an industry dominated by large corporations, Helene Vassos set the new standard of empowerment in Toronto cannabis stores with inclusivity and collaboration at the forefront of her goals.
Canvas Cannabis sets itself apart from other cannabis retailers by offering a warm, sophisticated and inviting boutique experience. From the store’s naturally elegant aesthetic to the knowledgeable and friendly staff, we strive to create a welcoming environment for our customers.
Whether someone is brand new to cannabis or an experienced user, we’ve carefully curated an expansive selection of products to suit everyone’s needs.
Our approach is brought together by genuinely becoming a part of the communities we join and putting in effort with every aspect of what we do. Simply put, Canvas cares to go the extra mile.
In December 2020, Canvas launched the Canvas Cares initiative, a community-based initiative whereby Canvas staff engage with their local communities, support charitable endeavours and encourage neighbourhood clean-up programs. The creation of this initiative helps to ensure that Canvas can be a leader both within the industry as well as within the neighbourhoods that its stores call home.
